Video: Muhabba Awards: Khalid ibn Waleed
At the “Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow” conference this year, I met, Saadi Alkouatli, the Creative Director for the trailer for the Muhabba Awards, which depicts Khalid ibn al-Walid in battle. I am sure you will agree, the quality of this trailer is breathtaking. One thing he mentioned was that at the end of the trailer there is a scene in which we see a lock of the blessed hair of the Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace), in actual fact, this is a real lock of blessed hair!
The director for this video is Oscar-winning director Stefan Ruzowitzky (winner 2008 of best foreign language film The Counterfeiters) – who won this oscar the night before the Mahhaba awards.

Salaams,
I actually attended this event and it was really good.
There was a great atmosphere and it was fun meeting people from different parts of the world.
They played that trailer all the time at the event. However, I never knew that the hair in the video was a real lock of blessed hair.
REF: GOLD DINAR COINS OF KING OFFA
There is an article posted on the above site under the title of “King Offa” which takes an apposite view to the one taken on your site and argues that Indeed Offa was Muslim. While you are at the site also have a look at SUPREME EXISTENCE.

“From Orthodox Zionist to Islam”
I don’t know if anyone will read this as this my first effort to contribute to a blog. But here it goes…
I am 59 years old. I spent my life under a shroud of misguidance until my dear friend Ahmed died. It was then I converted. In the hospital, where I left my Jewish, militant, persona for Islam.
I have been a member of the JDL for many years and an “Orthodox, militant,” Zionist as well, until two years ago when I watched an Ahmed Deedat DVD with my friend Ahmed’s son.
I researched within the context of the Torah (Song of Solomon 5:16 as an example) and found, to my horror, many exclusions of Muhammed, blessed be he. Yes, his name was right there in front of me in Hebrew, but translated to say in English, “my beloved.”
Two years later and after calming down, I re-read the passages and one day I picked up the Holy Koran and found freedom.
Allah, blessed be he, works in strange ways. He waited patiently for me to come back, as we are all born Muslim.
I lost my dear friend and still cry daily. It’s been 7 weeks. But I found the truth. You cannot argue with the truth. Compare the Torah to the Holy Koran and you will find the admissions for yourself.
At first I was furious at my teachers and rabbis because anyone who can read Hebrew knew what the word was. Then I researched further: dictionary, reference books, etc. and even showed it to another Jewish person, who freaked out.
I lost my friend but found the truth in his stead.
Yes, I’m “Orthodox,as it were” in Islam as well. His sons and nephews and grandsons all visit me daily, have embraced me and show me love and respect beyond my wildest imagination.
I am very ill as well but Allah, blessed be he, has blessed me with so much and I am grateful, humbled and dedicated to him and Islam.
If you are reading this and you are Jewish, read the passage I mentioned and if you still believe you’re right and the Torah is translated correctly, I pray for you and wish you well.
Thank you for listening.
