Well, I finally did it, I have migrated to WordPress! It seemed daunting at first but with a little help (well, actually quite a lot of help) from Noufal Ibrahim I took the plunge and it was a lot easier than I expected!
So from now on, MasudBlog is a WordPress blog. We are still tweaking the design so if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to drop me a line. Once again thanks to Noufal for all his assistance on this!

We are all participating in history. The events over the last 10 to 15 years that have affected Muslims of our generation have unfolded before our very eyes. What will historians make of these events in 50, 100 or 200 years’ time? Well, we can certainly help them with Islam related recent history. It is vitally important to archive the material of our Shayukh who have commented on the events of our times and other issues, these will be extremely important to historians in the years to come.
It is with this in mind that I am requesting, with the permission of Shaykh Abdal-Hakim Murad, that any audio/video recordings of Shaykh Abdal-Hakim Murad be made available to masud.co.uk for archival purposes. This is so we can present a definitive archive of all his public material. If you have, or know of anyone who has, a lecture or a talk, audio or video, on audio cassette, mini disc, VHS etc please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and put the subject heading “Sh AHM – Archiving Project” I would appreciate it.
A similar initiative should be initiated with regards to all of Shaykh Hamza’s material past and present, so if anyone has any rare material with regards to Shaykh Hamza please get in touch also.
I have been using OpenDNS for some time now and I must say it is excellent. They say:
“We make your Internet safer, faster, smarter and more reliable. It’s free, and there’s nothing to download.”
One of the major benefits of using OpenDNS to handle your DNS lookups is that adult sites are blocked. You can set the granularity of the filter if you register with them but by default, if you use their DNS servers, you get filtering by default.
as your nameservers (preferably on your router) or on your PC.
Check out OpenDNS http://www.opendns.org for more details.
