as-salamu ‘alaykum The Translators’ Blog recently cited al-Maqrizi against the Ashari school of aqida in a post entitled “The History of the Ashari School”. The original post has since been deleted, twice in actual fact after being withdrawn initially after complaints that it was disrespectful and then reinstated after Imam Suhaib “didn’t find anything wrong with it”, and it has been deleted again without comment.
