Donate a Song Book – daw’ah opportunity

BMS coverI gave our local primary school that my son goes to a copy of Muslim Songs of the British Isles for their music department. It was very much appreciated by the music teacher there, she said:

“Having spent over fifteen years working in London I have had an ongoing interest in finding new materials to work with in the classroom and have spent some considerable time researching materials. This is the first ‘quality’ publication that I have come across that deals exclusively with Muslim songs and with the website is a great addition to the resources available.”

See a PDF of the letter here.

I would like to encourage everyone who has children at a school to purchase a copy and donate to the school. I have a few copies that I sell from the British Muslim Song website if you need to buy a copy and can’t get it elsewhere. It is £6.45 including postage you can either have me post it to the school in question with a covering letter from you or you can hand it in personally. I would recommend doing it personally as it is a da’wah opportunity and a chance to talk about the book, the website and Harmonia Alcorani.

POEM: Cod Liver Oil by Muhammad Isa Waley

as-salamu ‘alaykum,

Over on the British Muslim Song website there are some new items, amongst them a humorous poem by Sidi Muhammad Isa Waley called “Cod Liver Oil” in the English Songs section. Other items are two new Audio files: Litany IV and Allah Akbar in the Harmonia Alcorani section.

wa’as-salam
